What happened in Mirage?
According to officials, one man was murdered and two ladies were gravely injured in a shooting inside a Las Vegas hotel room on Thursday(4 August) night.
Police were summoned to the Mirage Casino and Hotel at 8:30 p.m. local time, as per Las Vegas Metropolitan Authorities Captain Dori Koren. When they came, they learned that a man had already died and that two women had been injured.

Mirage shooting in Las Vegas
The entire structure was placed under lockdown Thursday night after one person was shot and murdered inside a hotel room in Las Vegas.
Officials said the event happened inside a hotel room on the eighth floor of the Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip.
Based on a person with knowledge of the investigation, two additional persons are suspected to have been injured in the event, as reported by the local channel 8 News.

Who is the culprit?
Because the event and investigation are still being investigated, the Las Vegas Metro Police Department has encouraged people to avoid the area. The gunman is still on the loose.

Guests to the hotel said that no one is allowed in or out of the hotel as police officers walk room to room checking on guests in footage posted on Twitter, which show substantial police patrols at the hotel. In one video, an officer is seen clutching a ballistic shield.

Is the survivor safe in the hospital?
Police and security personnel began providing medical attention to the victims, who were rushed to the hospital in severe condition.
Regardless of the fact that the gunshot appeared to be an isolated incident with no danger to the public, Koren noted that authorities are still seeking the perpetrator.
