Who is Shbina Kumari and Narayan?
A few years ago, Sabina Kumari and Narayan Mahto did not know what a racing cycle appeared like till they decided to enroll in the selection trials held by the Sports Academy near their respective villages. They belonged to a middle-class family and the monthly income of the family was ₹3,000 or less, these two names have shown the bent and the determination to overcome adversities and become the top cyclists of the country and they have received numerous medals for their names.
Shabina received gold in her first victory first appearance in the junior nationals last year and on the other hand, Narayan earned five golds in different national competitions in 2019 in victory. The normal factor uniting the two athletes’ success stories is the Jharkhand State Sports Promotion Society (JSSPS), which is instrumental in bringing the sporting dreams of various economically backward tribal kids like them to fruition.

Who is Aditiya Gaurav?
Aditya Gaurav, who is a wrestler with the JSSPS Sports Academy, earned an international laurel winning a bronze for India, which was organized the Under-15 Asian Wrestling Championship in Manama, just before a month. “Among the total number of cadets currently taking training here, 96 percent are from SC, ST, and OBC backgrounds. That is our central power, which is obvious in the fact that they have picked up around 93 medals ever since the Academy began in the year 2016. Which sports will be included?
We currently have 10 disciplines including athletics, cycling, wrestling, shooting, boxing, swimming, and taekwondo. Authorities are planning to add Judo next year to increase the scope of the Academy.
