Raksha Bandhan got off to a poor start at the box office on day one. The advance bookings were not hopeful to begin, and the lack of engagement has been evident since the morning. The film starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar has had just 12-15% occupancy across the country, which is worse than the already lowered expectations, shocking both the trade and the film business. Indeed, the openness is even smaller than Laal Singh Chaddha, which has a relatively low opening of 15-20%.

The Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar movie was nearly a non-starter in high-end metropolitan places, but it performed better in mass areas like UP, Bihar, MP, and Gujarat than Laal Singh Chaddha, but it lacks the core Hindi-belt market output. Raksha Bandhan is expected to open in the 8-10 crore nett range based on capacity and future trends. The main difference here is that, unlike the other picture, the hopes were not as great, to begin with, and if the Hindi region partly clicks, it may easily exceed Laal Singh Chaddha in the long term on single screens all around, based on how long that stay is.
