Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Reveals New Key Visual

Jujutsu Kaisen just published the first key picture for the anime’s forthcoming season 2, which is set to debut in 2023. Since then, viewers have speculated if the Shibuya Event storyline would be drawn in the future season.

Many of these speculations were ultimately validated during TOHO Animation’s 10th Anniversary Jujutsu Kaisen staging event when vocalists for the main characters presented a new key image and additional details about Season 2 of the anime.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Reveals New Key Visual

Much forthcoming anime, notably Jujutsu Kaisen, were shown during TOHO’s 10th Anniversary celebration. The voice actresses who played the major characters in the first Season of the anime,

  • Asami Seto as Nobara Kugisaki

participated in the event. The trio revealed that the second Season will be split into two episodes, with the 2nd episode adopting the manga’s Shibuya Incident arc.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Spoilers

The most recent key graphic revealed during the event has a fish-eye experience similar to the initial teaser. The image depicts the inside of a train, with Satoru Gojo dressed as a professor and the 5 years behind him. With the teasers, Studio MAPPA creates a fascinating symbolic message. When the teasers are combined, they reveal that Jujutsu Kaisen Second season will animate the arcs chronologically and show the prior meet the current.

The first season will adapt the Gojo’s Past arc, which highlights Gojo and Geto’s time as students in Tokyo Jujutsu High. The Shibuya Incident arc will almost probably be adapted in the anime’s second season, based on the new trailer and the primary cast’s conversation during the occasion. It is unclear whether Studio MAPPA plans to recreate the complete Shibuya Incident narrative in the second season.

The primary images for Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 feature various Easter eggs that manga aficionados will notice. Studio MAPPA includes subtle references in the anime’s first Season openers and finishes, a lot of which will become quite evident once the far Shibuya Event arc is produced.

Indeed the backdrop and color palette of both teasers allude to the Second season concept of the past colliding with the current.
