Johnny Depp’s fan base has expanded exponentially since his defamation trial victory over ex-wife Amber heard. Depp greeted a fan costumed as Captain Jack Sparrow from his well-known Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, and also hugged the youngster while posing for photos.

Responding to the video, one person react, “This is the proper instance of a really fantastic human being. #JohnnyDepp,” and another one wrote, “He’s so good to all his followers, particularly his little ones.” Others also expressed their love for the ‘lovely soul’ Johnny.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard made news earlier this year after their highly publicized defamation trial in which they discussed their toxic marriage. Following weeks of testimony, Depp was granted $10 million in damages and $5 million in punitive penalties, while Heard was awarded $2 million. Amber Heard recently requested a new trial in the defamation lawsuit, which was apparently refused by a Virginia tribunal in the United States.

Amber’s appeal to have the result set aside or declared a mistrial was denied by the judge, who ignored the six-week long trial from April to June. The entire legal quagmire revolved around Heard’s 2018 Washington Post op-ed, in which she described herself as a victim of domestic abuse.
